In its typical creepy, kooky, mysterious, and spooky fashion, the ghoulish Addams family is visiting the graveyard for an annual gathering of all family members, living dead, and undecided, to celebrate what it is to be an Addams. However, the family encounters an unforeseen obstacle when Wednesday falls in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family – a man her parents have never met. And if that weren’t upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before – keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia.

In protest, Uncle Fester enlists the help of the Addams’ ancestors to call an end to the young budding romance. After Wednesday admits that she is falling in love, Morticia, Gomez, and Pugsley worry about her changing ways. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s ‘normal’ boyfriend and his parents as chaos ensues and the two families find themselves admitting deep secrets and coming together in ways they never would have imagined.
The Addams Family A New Musical Comedy tells the story of love and friendship through adversity, with a comical and macabre yet poignant spin.

REHEARSALS
Monday 18th March at 7pm for read through and meet and greet. You will be given all available rehearsal material to take home for independent practice.
Rehearsals will be held on Mondays and Thursdays commencing on:

• Monday 25th March – 7pm – 10pm

Cast will be called to rehearsals as required. A rehearsal schedule will be in place, but may be subject to change – apologies in advance for any inconvenience.
Due to current productions on at the theatre, rehearsal location may change upon discussion with cast.

Audition Requirements

• Minimum age for auditionees: 16+ at the time of auditions (or with written parent consent)
• Minimum age for Pugsley auditionees 16+ at the time of auditions (or with written parent consent)

• Arrive 10 minutes before your audition time.
• Please Prepare a song from the show – see below for the song list. There will be a pianist present at auditions, but, if you prefer, you can bring your own backing track and speaker.
• You will be asked to read extracts from the script if required for the role for which you are auditioning. We will provide extracts.
• Because there will be children involved in this production, all cast 18 & Over will be required to have a Working With Children Clearance. There will be more info on how to get this at the Meet & Greet.
